Gabby Minton writes indie-folk songs with a life-story thread running through them. Since moving to Fort Worth, she has described a more creative chapter, and her music traces back to early memories of watching her father perform around Garland. She picked up guitar and violin around age 12, learned quickly in a home full of records and living-room jams, and by middle school was already bringing Black Sabbath's "War Pigs" to a talent-show stage.
Her first original, "Sam," came at 18, and a later ArtsGoggle performance in the Near Southside turned that personal history into a public Fort Worth moment. For local listeners, Minton's pull is the intimacy of a songwriter who lets family, memory, and melody stay close to the surface.
