Latin Express Band

Fort Worth / DFW

Bio

Latin Express Band has carried its Fort Worth story forward since Carlos Saenz formed the group at North Side High School in 1975 to raise money for the Spanish Club. The band went on to spend decades in the Tejano music world, perform at George W. Bush's 2001 Presidential Inaugural Ball, and enter the Tejano Roots Hall of Fame in 2008.

Saenz's writing and arranging remain part of the group's catalog, including songs recorded on CHICANOVILLE USA. Latin Express is still active in 2026, bringing that long-running local history to Fort Worth-area dance dates.
