The Flying Beets are a Fort Worth-based indie rock trio with a bright, hook-forward lane. Fronted by Nathan Waller, a DFW singer-songwriter known for extraordinary vocal range and powerful delivery, the current lineup is rounded out by David Cross on bass and Steven Clements on drums.
The band formed in late spring 2022, and its music draws from The Beatles to Nirvana while leaning into catchy hooks, driving tempos, and pop sensibility. The result is modern indie rock with a 90s alternative backbone: melodic enough for pop fans, energetic enough for rock rooms, and rooted in Fort Worth.
